Biostatistician - HealthCare Research
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office one day per week). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Wilmington, DE, Newton, MA, Indianapolis, IN, Chicago, IL, Cary, NC, Norfolk, VA, Mason, OH, Atlanta, GA, Portland, ME, St. Louis, MO, Wallingford, CT or Louisville, KY.
The Biostatistician - HealthCare Research is responsible for leveraging large, complex, and linked data assets to provide analytic and programming capabilities for healthcare research studies. Performs substantive data management, statistical analyses and reporting to assess drug safety.
How you will make an impact:
Serves as a statistical subject matter resource on the integrated research database.
Leads data management activities by developing programming requirement documents and/or using IHD/SAS/R.
Leads data analysis activities following protocol/SAP development.
Creates tables, figures, and other report and publication materials.
Supports the development of SAPs, TFLs, and timelines.
Articulates methods, progress, and results to study team.
Performs quality control to ensure integrity of analysis.
Participates in a process and/or scientific initiative.
Develops and implements predictive models.
Responds to and manages ad hoc client requests to ensure accurate, in-depth results/data are delivered in a timely manner.
Prepares results for presentation to clients.
Presents research findings to management and clients.
Provides technical/analytical advice to staff.
Compiles results of studies for journal publication.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a MS in Biostatistics, Statistics or related field; 3 years healthcare and/or consumer data analysis experience; 2+ years’ experience in the development of predictive models; 3 years coding experience with SAS; 3 years’ experience manipulating and processing large multi-source datasets with SAS and SQL programming tools; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Experience conducting data management and analyses in healthcare research studies strongly preferred.
