Business Resource Groups (BRG) and Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Experience Manager
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.
The Business Resource Groups (BRG) and Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Experience Manager provides thought leadership, influence, and hands-on engagement to elevate and expand Elevance Health’s BRGs, developing and implementing strategies that foster an environment of inclusion and belonging. This role works closely with senior leadership, BRG leaders, and cross-functional partners across the enterprise to align the BRGs in supporting business priorities and creating an inclusive culture where all associates can thrive and make a difference.
How you will make an impact:
- Architect and implement a multi-year global BRG strategy that aligns with the mission, vision, and strategic direction of Elevance Health.
- Lead and mentor a global team of BRG representatives, establishing a collaborative, inclusive environment that transcends cultural, geographical, and identity boundaries.
- Initiate and sustain BRGs to serve associates across multiple dimensions of identity.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure DEI efforts are well-managed, embedded in the organizational culture, measured, and aligned with Elevance Health's purpose.
- Serve as primary advisor to BRG leaders for inspiring intersectional collaboration, effective communication, and measurable organizational impact.
- Lead planning and drive execution of BRG signature programs and heritage months and observances; track and measure milestones; manage key stakeholders; and execute communication plans.
- Provide consultative support for impactful current events and BRG community concerns.
- Collaborate with BRG leadership, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Communications, and HR Business Partners to develop and deliver impactful BRG programs and initiatives.
- Facilitate regular BRG leader meetings and listening tours to maintain a strong connection to BRG leaders and communities for informing fact-based decisions and action plans.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness and impact of BRG initiatives, translating strategic insights into actionable plans, and sharing these with senior leadership.
- Lead the ideation and execution of workshops, training sessions, and events that foster a culture of respect and mutual support, where individuals feel empowered to stand up for each other and act as allies in creating an inclusive work environment.
- Function as a DEI subject matter expert, providing guidance to business leaders.
- Serve on internal and external advisory boards representing the company and represents the company externally at events.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of DEI and/or BRG related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Prior experience working with BRGs to develop objectives, define impact/measure goals and regular reporting to track results on investment.
- Excellent project management and organization skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to influence.
- Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion practices and their role in fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead through influence and deliver compelling stories through data and insights.
- Experience interacting with various levels of leadership and working in a highly matrixed environment including experience supporting and executing large-scale, complex, and highly visible initiatives with demonstrated results.
- Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with long-term strategic goals and budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive associate and business information in a confidential manner.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills are required and skills in interpreting data/ summarizing key insights are strongly preferred.
