Primary Location: Within 50 miles of a PulsePoint office. Strong preference for Atlanta GA, Mason OH, or Norfolk, VA.
As a Staff VP of Technology, you will lead the shared services teams reporting directly to the CIO of the division. This position will be responsible for hands-on developing strategy for new initiatives and maintaining a high performing Specialty Pharmacy teams while maintaining the exceptional level of professionalism and customer service standards that Anthem has attained within the Healthcare industry. You will also lead efforts to incorporate InfoSec, Audit and Disaster Recovery best practices for Specialty Pharmacy. You’ll collaborate with peers from the Anthem enterprise, business operations, other engineering disciplines, to ensure alignment on key business goals.
This Shared Services leader should possess the following Qualifications:
PRIMARY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make ongoing recommendations of technology strategy, standards, and system configurations
Analyzing the current best practices and support model to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement
Ensure timely support for engineering and app development utilizing best-in-class technologies and agile development methodologies.
Providing expert level DevOps, QA COE and production support knowledge and counsel to others
Coordinate all InfoSec, Audit and Disaster Recovery compliance activities across the division
Driving the analysis, design, and development of a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
Constantly monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and digital trends.
Understand the practicalities of DevOps and Quality gating style (agile/lean) approaches to support software development.
Delivering highly efficient support model for complex business applications
Partner with other architects and engineering teams to define, design and implement improved delivery processes
Assist in technical presentations and info-sharing sessions to create a clear and uniform understanding of the new systems to various constituents
Provide guidance and lead resolution of technical issues as they arise.
Lead and support the needs of strategic roadmap and Blueprint activity.
Responsible for attracting, mentoring, and retaining high performance development team
Responsible for creating roadmap documents, coding standards, process documents, Agile Development methodology and governance documents.
At times, responsible for assisting with client and project engagements to document technical requirements for database, applications, integration, infrastructure, etc.
Drive the design and construction of a client’s complex business problems into innovative technology solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field required
10+ Years of experience in leading Engineering, DevSecOps, QA COE, Project Portfolio Management and production support in 24/7 environment, Healthcare industry preferred
5+ years of experience with IT Audit, Security and Disaster Recovery functions
Good to have an exposure on modern engineering and development methodologies
5+ years working with blended onshore/offshore model
Experience with security, audit and privacy standards, e.g., HIPAA, SOC, HITRUST and URAC
Excellent Written, verbal, and diagrammatic communication skills
Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
Experience Agile software development life cycles
Previous experience with Specialty/Mail Order Pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Management a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Experience in the Healthcare industry.
Previous experience with Specialty/Mail Order Pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Management.
Experience with modern engineering and development methodologies.
