Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Principle
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). An ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed here: Atlanta, GA, Indianapolis, IN, Mason, OH, Norfolk, VA or Dallas, TX.
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Principle develops strategic and tactical plans for a comprehensive enterprise-wide information security program. Leads the development of policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and other elements of an infrastructure necessary to support information security in compliance with established company policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted information security controls. Responsible for the selection and delivery of strategic network security, access control and secure transaction/messaging solutions.
How you will make an Impact:
Design a cloud native infrastructure environment in AWS from development environments through production environments utilizing Identity and Cybersecurity best practices
Mentor and consult with peers and customers
Configure systems and application monitoring, defining alerts and building appropriate dashboards
Integrate security tools, standards and processes into cloud environments for IAM
Create new standards & best practices to increase effectiveness and visibility across a diverse environment
Establishes strategic vendor relationships for security products and services;
Develops enterprise-wide security incident response plans and strategies that includes integration with business, compliance, privacy, and legal constituents and requirements;
Provides advanced level engineering design functions;
Provides trouble resolution and serves as point of technical escalation on complex problems.
Creates presentations and seeks IT and business management approval and acceptance of significant replacements or reconfigurations of major security technologies serving the Enterprise.
Provides technical guidance and leadership to the technical engineers within the organization.
Participates in the design of the enterprise architecture.
Proposes opportunities to improve results based on targeted or continuous assessment .
Researches relevant trends and activities in healthcare, business, competition and regulatory environments; recommends strategy adjustments.
Participates in enterprise planning activity, including vendor assessment, technology platform selection & retirement, prioritization and integration.
Routinely acts as a subject matter expert for executive management .
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires BS/BA in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, access management and network security technologies, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, data, and people; experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:
3+ years hands on experience with AWS
AWS Certified Solution Architect or Equivalent
Deep knowledge and hands on experience of Terraform, AWS Cloud, Kubernetes and Docker Container technology, CICD pipelines and Automation .
Hands on design, development and documentation of all processes and procedures
Expert knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted data processing controls and concepts strongly preferred as applied to Security Certifications: CISSP preferred and other advanced technical security certifications (e.g. Information Systems Security Architecture Professional, Information Systems Security Engineering Professional, Certification and Accreditation or equivalent certifications).
Demonstrated understanding and experience with Identity and Access Management.
Deep understanding and knowledge of IAM principles for GCP, AWS and Azure
Familiarity with Security domain concepts such as SAML, OAUTH, OIDC, LDAP, SSO, ADFS, and Federation flow
Experience with Privileged Access solutions is a plus
Strong ‘self-starter’ and initiative to navigate complex subject matter in a large organization
Experience managing delivery of full-stack technical solutions
Exposure to agile product management including the ability to set vision, establish a roadmap, set goals, write user stories and execute
Effectively lead or collaborate with cross-functional resources to manage and resolve interdependencies
Must be able to carry out verbal and/or written instructions
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment
Must have strong organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
