Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Plano, TX Pulse Point Office
The Manager II, Registered Dietician is responsible for the consolidated Nutrition Support Program (NSP) which encompasses the enteral (ENT) operations and clinical dietitian teams as well as the clinical leadership and patient management of the total parenteral nutrition (TPN) clinical dietitian team.
How you will make an impact:
Primary duties may include but are not limited to
- Directing the centralized delivery of the ENT therapy line and, in collaboration with Pharmacy Operations, the delivery of the TPN therapy line through integrating the philosophies and techniques of quality improvement, integration of cross functional teamwork, selection of equipment, budget adherence, policy and procedure development and staff development for all staff supporting EN and TPN patients.
- Oversee operations of NSP in accordance to patient care needs, department strategic plan, medical staff policy, Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) standards, state and federal laws and the needs of Paragon Healthcare.
- This includes end to end operations responsibilities including Dietitians, intake, customer service and reimbursement support. Supports the provision of patient care activities for NSP.
- Monitors and analyzes PNL and addresses/implements necessary process updates to ensure budget efficiency.
- Act as subject matter expert for nutrition across the organization for multiple teams including, procurement, pharmacy operations, patient access, reimbursement, sales and marketing.
- Directs NSP staff education, competency program and acts as subject matter expert to support education and competency of interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborates with Pharmacy Operation leadership to establish an efficient and effective multi-disciplinary approach to the NSP.
- Defines and articulates program’s clinical, and operational objectives utilizing key performance indicators.
- Develops and implements new approaches and strategies to optimize operating resources.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires BA/BS and minimum of 5 years of related experience which includes a minimum of 2 year prior management experience and; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or licensure, as applicable, dependent on state of practice required.
- Active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
- For Paragon and Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
- For Paragon business units, requires a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential required.
- Must successfully pass CNSC exam within 12 months of hire and maintain certification.
- For Paragon business units, requires a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- One year home infusion nutrition leadership experience preferred.
