Program Consultant-LTSS
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Topeka, KS OR Olathe, KS Elevance Health PulsePoint location.
The Program Consultant typically support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client facing projects or initiatives.
How you will make an impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Manages the development, approval, implementation and compliance programs within an assigned LTSS market(s).
- Ensures the LTSS program is meeting its stated objectives based on contractual and other regulatory requirements.
- Provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day business issues.
- Develop and maintains processes within the LTSS program.
- Research applicable subject matter practices and remains aware of industry trends.
- Manages relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas to assure program success.
- Develops and monitors program success measures and key performance indicators.
- Performs periodic assessments of external client facing program success.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 3 years experience in external client facing program management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Working knowledge of the needs of the LTSS population served.
- Working knowledge of program objectives, standards and rules in the areas of assignment.
- Working knowledge of structure and operations of agencies and service providers and the delivery of services.
- Ability to participate in program planning, evaluation and quality control methods.
- Ability to understand the applications of technology to the program area.
- Ability to collect and analyze data and information.
- Ability to coordinate and assist in directing a complex statewide program.
- Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, standards and policies regarding providers.
- Ability to research, analyze and interpret State and Federal laws and formulate these laws into policies and procedures related to the program area.
- Ability to design and present training.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and/or written form.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other state agencies, providers of services, advocacy groups and other organizations.
