Melissa Clarke, M.D., CMQ, is chief health equity officer at Elevance Health, where she leads our crucial efforts to advance health equity, reduce disparities, and meet health-related social needs for the people Elevance Health serves. Drawing on 20 years of experience as a physician, plus experience in Fortune 500 companies, community health, and academia, she brings a transformational vision to our industry-leading work. Clarke is highly regarded for her expertise in the fields of population health, social needs, healthcare delivery and reform, as well as her extensive work in health equity and health literacy.
